Cash crunch compels BSNL to delay August salaries

Officials not sure when the salaries will be paid ex

State owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will not be able to pay the salaries to its 1,65179 employees on August 30 following the cash crunch.

BSNL spends 75 percent of its income on salaries. The revenues are down which resulted in a cash crunch. Total income which was 19,308 crores during 2018 -19 is expected to drop 14,000 crore this year.
