Haryana Police has arrested 11 members of Babariya Gang which were involved in three murder cases besides four other cases including thefts.
The gang had stolen over 750 sheep from seven different places in Punjab and Himachal besides 60 sacks of rice.
Police officials said the gang had killed three people of village Pindarsi in Kurukshetra but remained unsuccessful in their attempt to steal sheep.
The interrogation of arrested gang members revealed that they had stolen over 750 sheep from Rajpura, Shanbu Border, Dera Bassi, Ramgarh, Jalandhar and Baddi in Himachal.
“They murdered three residents of Pindarsi village while forcibly stealing their sheep. Some of the stolen sheep were crushed by a moving train while the gang members fled from the spot.
There are a total of 17 members of Babaria Gang out of which six are beyond the reach of the police.
Police teams were raiding possible hideouts of these gang members.
