Haryana to recruit 600 doctors

Haryana Government has launched the recruitment drive to fill 662 vacancies of Medical Officers (HCMS-Group A) on regular basis.

Health Department has announced said that 662 vacancies also include 53 posts which are horizontally reserved for persons with disability.

185 posts of doctoros are reserved for General Category, 307 for Scheduled Castes (SC) (including backlog of 255 posts), 40 for Backward Classes-A (BC-A) (including backlog of 14 posts), 13 for Backward Classes-B (BC-B), 50 for Economically Backward Persons (EBP) in the General Caste Category (including backlog of 37 posts) and 67 for Ex-servicemen (ESM) (including backlog of 54 posts).

The basic qualification for these vacancies would be a recognised MBBS degree, internship completion certificate, permanent registration or if the result is awaited.The last date to receive application forms is December 30, 2016.

The interviews would commence from January 23, 2017 and the venue for interviews would be Office of Director General, Health Services, Panchkula. The roll numbers and schedule of the interview would be displayed on the official website. No call letter would be sent separately.

Vacancies may decrease or increase as per the availability. Reservation up to two per cent for Freedom Fighters and their children or grand children would be available only if quota reserved for Ex-servicemen or Backward Classes remains unfilled to that extent due to non-availability of suitable ex-servicemen or their dependents or non-availability of suitable candidates from Backward Classes.

Over all reservation either from the unfilled vacancies of ex-servicemen or from the backward classes for freedom fighters, their children and grand children would remain limited to two per cent only. Reservation benefit would be admissible to the bonafied residents of Haryana state only. The ‘Resident Certificate of Haryana’ and the ‘Certificate of SC, BC-A, BC-B, EBP, ESM, DESM, Physically Handicapped or Freedom Fighter of Haryana’ issued by the competent authority under the latest government instructions would only be accepted.

Preference would be given to the candidates having Post Graduate Degree and Diploma and Rural Service in Haryana state including Health Department, National Health Mission, PGIMS, Rohtak, State Government Medical Colleges or State aided medical college like the Medical College at Agroha.

A waiting list equal to 50 per cent of total advertised posts would be prepared which would remain valid for a period of six months from the date of issue of first appointment letter. Once appointed, initially the candidates may be posted in rural areas for two years.

A state government spokesman said that the Departmental High Power Selection Committee included Director General Health Services (DGHS) as Chairman and Additional Director (Admn.), Health as Member Secretary.

Similarly, the Interview Board No. I would include DGHS-cum-Chairman Departmental High Power Selection Committee as Chairman and Director, Health Services (Training) as Member and the Interview Board No. II would include Additional Director General, Health Services as Chairman, Director, Health Services (Lab) as Member. The Selection Committee and each of both the Boards would include an expert from Medical College, Rohtak or Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh.
