Though Sonakshi Sinha is choreographer-turned-filmmaker Prabhudheva’s lucky charm, it has never been the case that we saw her playing a central character in his films. All of his ventures be it Wanted (Salman Khan), Rowdy Rathore  (Akshay Kumar), Ramaiya Vastavaiya  (Girish Kumar), R…Rajkukar (Shahid Kapoor) or the latest one being Action Jackson (Ajay Devgn) have been heroic and male-dominated.

When we brought this to Soankshi’s notice, she defended her mentor saying, “Well I beg to differ. There is always a hero and a heroine together. If there was no need of heroines, then why would have he cast them in his films. On the contrary, heroines do have importance in his films and the way he presents them it can’t be ignored. There is something memorable about heroines in each of his films. Moreover, the dance and songs in his ventures are really amazing, so I enjoy doing it.”

Having worked with Prabhudheva in films like ROWDY RATHORE, R…RAJKUMAR, ACTION JACKSON and a special number ‘Go Go Govinda’ in OMG! OH MY GOD, Sonakshi says that Prabhu has made entertainment his genre.

“Prabhudheva has made entertainment his genre. He makes sure his movies are high on entertainment. It’s got something for everybody. There’s drama, action, romance, emotions everything packaged in one big film, because of which he has a big connect with the masses also,” says

Though Sonakshi was part of huge entertainers all this while, now she is gearing up for a women-centric film, being directed by her HOLIDAY director A R Murugodass film.
