Idols of Lord Ragunath stolen from Kullu

Idols of Lord Ragunath stolen from KulluThieves decamped with the idols of Kullu‘s  famous Lord Ragunath Temple  on the intervening night of December 8 and 9, police sources said.

This is second incident of burglary in temple within a year. The  thieves  entered the temple from the roof of temple and decamped with main idols of shrine including ashtdhatu idols of Raghunath and Hanuman.

After the intimation of incident, DSP and other senior officials rushed to the spot. All adjoining districts and States have been alerted and police pickets have been set up at all exit routes.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh also gave suo motu statement in the ongoing assembly session Tapovan in Dharmshala today informing the house about steps being taken by the administration and the police after the crime.

Lord Ragunath is chief deity of Kullu .
