Mutilated female body found in Manali

Police registers a case against unidentified persons

Manali police has launched a manhunt against an identified accused in the the jogini waterfall murder case after recovering the mutilated body. The police was also trying to find out whether the deceased was raped before the murder

 

The Manali ,Himachal Pradesh police on Sunday recovered an unidentified female body from Jogni Waterfall area ,police sources told North India Times.

The body was spotted by locals near the water fall who later informed the police .

Police said the unidentified killer also tried to crush the head of the deceased woman in an attempt to confuse the police and people.

The police has registered a case against an unidentified assailants under section 302 of IPC.Tje coos were also scanning the CCTV footage.

The cops were also trying to verify whether the woman was murdered at the waterfall or the body was dumped here after killing her elsewhere.

The police has also expressed the apprehension that the woman might have been raped before she was killed.

The Jogni (Jogini) waterfall is very popular with the tourists and is located at a distance of nearly five kilometres from Manali town.

This incident has also left the tourists shocked as this waterfall is visited by the them in large numbers.
