Five murders rock Lucknow Friday

While an aged couple and their eight-year-old grand-daughter were killed in Thakurganj area in the old part of the city, a middle-aged woman and her 15-year-old daughter were strangled to death in Gomati Nagar early Friday.

While robbery was apparently perceived as the motive behind the triple murder, personal enmity was believed to have led to the murders in Gomati Nagar, police said.

A senior police official told media persons: "Our teams are working on both the cases and I am sure we will succeed in nabbing the culprits soon."
