Adharjhor (Jharkhand): In the heart of a dense forest in the Patamda block, this ramshackle village of 100 thatched huts is fighting a tough battle to keep afloat its 400-year-old traditional craft - making percussion instruments. The village is known for its special 'hari khol' - the percussion instrument offered to Lord Vishnu at shrines during 'naam-kirtan' (sessions of devotional music).
