Case against Punjabi singer Mika for abusing journalist

January 8th, 2010

Ludhiana (Punjab): A case was filed Friday against Punjabi singer Mika, who misbehaved with a journalist and used abusive language against him while addressing a press conference in this Punjab city, police said.

"We have registered a case against Mika after getting a written complaint from a journalist of a news channel. I have ordered a probe into this incident and an appropriate action will be taken against Mika after the investigation," Senior Superintendent of Police Sukhchain Singh Gill told IANS.

Mika, in the industrial city, 100 km from Chandigarh to promote his debut film "Mitti", got infuriated when the journalist asked a question about his strained relations with Bollywood item girl Rakhi Sawant.

The two are at loggerheads since Rakhi filed a police complaint against Mika for allegedly forcibly kissing her at his birthday bash.
