Hockey World Cup: England beat South Africa 6-4

New Delhi: England defeated South Africa 6-4 in a high scoring Pool B clash of the Hockey World Cup here Tuesday.

For England, Richard Mantell scored twice while Nick Catlin, Ashley Jackson, Rob Moore and Iain Mackay struck one goal each. South African Marvin Harper scored twice while Llyod Norris-Jones and Thornton McDade sounded the board once.

Both teams were locked 2-2 in the halftime
