Surat incident fallout : Haryana to seal unregistered coaching institutes

Legal action would be taken against unregistered coaching institutions

instructions have been issued to all coaching institutes and Deputy Commissioners and District Education Officers of every district have been issued directions by the state government to do physical verification of coaching institutions being run in their respective areas and see if there is proper seating arrangement for students and all safety measures are adopted.

Learning a lesson from  the Surat Coaching Institute tragedy,Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma on Tuesday said that the government will act against the institutes which will be found the laws.

“Strict action would be taken against coaching institutions which are not adhering to the rules in the state. The institutions which are not registered would be sealed. Such coaching institutions which are not abiding by the rules, would not be allowed to run in the state ” Ram Bilas Sharma said.

Ram Bilas Sharma said that instructions have been issued to all coaching institutes and Deputy Commissioners and District Education Officers of every district have been issued directions by the state government to do physical verification of coaching institutions being run in their respective areas and see if there is proper seating arrangement for students and all safety measures are adopted.

“The officers will also verify whether the stairs leading to institutes are open and has ventilation.The registration of each coaching institute is necessary. Legal action would be taken against those coaching institutions which have not yet been registered” Ram Bilas Sharma said.
