Syndicate Bank Branch Manager refuses to accept Rs 10 notes
The Indian Government has demonetised the currency old currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denomination but the Bank officials have been showing outrageous attitude to the customers.
In this video shot by one of the customers in Sector 11 , Panchkula, Haryana branch of Syndicate Bank, the branch manager can be heard refusing to accept currency notes of Rs 10 denomination which are a legal tender.
The customer who shared this video also threatened the branch manager to file a complaint against him with the Banking Ombudsman and a court case but this hardly made any impact on him.
“I am ready to be transferred.I will go happily. I am also ready to forfeit my annual increments,” says the branch manager Joginder Kumar who also advised the customer to deposit the Rs 10 notes in his sister-in-laws bank branch.
The branch manager said there was no disposal of Rs 10 notes. Another bank employee also demanded charges for depositing bundles of Rs 10 notes.
