After 522 pothole deaths,Haryana plans to tar roads

Potholes claimed 522 lives during 2017 in Haryana. The state government has finally realised that potholes were  killing more people than other accidents .The state government has now planned  to make all roads pothole free by January 2019.

Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. Rakesh Gupta during a review meeting with all Deputy Commissioners, Superintendent of Police and other officers of the districts through video conference said that all Haryana roads will be made pothole free by January 2019.

Reviewing Harpath App, Dr Gupta said that 22,000 complaints have been received so far through this App, out of which maximum complaints i.e. 10,000 pertains to Urban Local Bodies.

He directed the concerned officers to resolve these complaints as soon as possible. He said that like Karnal has got 4 Stars, all other districts should also speed up the resolving of complaints process.
