Agra being decked-up for Obama visit
In Uttar Pradesh, the State Government has decided to station a Director-General level police officer at Agra as the nodal officer for security purposes during US President Barak Obama visit to Agra on the 27th of this month.
Senior police and intelligence officers including Director General AK Gupta and security and intelligence officers yesterday made spot visit of Agra and held meeting to coordinate with various agencies involved in security. DG (Security) Gopal Gupta has been asked to station in Agra as the nodal officer. Agra administration has demanded additional officers and security personnel including 10 SPs, 12 ASPs, 24 DSPs, 10 companies of Central Para Military Force, 12 company Provincial Armed Constabulary and one company of flood division for the security.
ADG (Law and Order) Mukul Goel has been sent to work out requirement of force for the visit. The State Government has decided to deploy a helicopter to assist in air security.
