At least 8 policemen killed in Nepal violence

Eight bodies of policemen have been identified and another 8-10 policemen are still untraceable following clashes between the police and protestors in Tikapur,Nepal.

Chief District Officer (CDO) of Kailali, Raj Kumar Shrestha, said 8 people killed in Tikapur riot have been identified. A District official said that 8 bodies have been identified, the process to identify the rest is underway but nothing can be said about the exact death toll.

However, there is no confirmation about the injuries on the protestors’ side. He added that 40 injured people including 5 critical have been receiving medical attention at Tikapur Hospital. Meanwhile, Nepal Police Chief Upendra Kanta Aryal said 8-10 police personnel could not be contacted.
