Bollywood supports Udta Punjab

Bollywood film fraternity has joined hands to support the cause of Udta Punjab.Shahid Kapoor starrer Udta Punjab has mired into huge controversy as it is based on Punjab’s drug problem. Ruling BJP and Akali Dal combine thinks that the film portrays the state in a negative light.

While Anurag Kashyap, the fil director is vehemently protesting against the ban on Udta Punjab and criticizing the ones demanding a ban on the film, CBFC (The Central Board Of Film Certification) has now reportedly asked for a good 89 cuts and removal of any references to the state of Punjab, politics or elections, in general from the film.

Certainly, Anurag is battling it out with Censors and seems to be adamant on his decision and take on the film. The makers of Udta Punjab have as per the reports moved to Bombay High Court against CBFC’s verdict. It is being said that the makers of UUdta Punjab might also postpone the film.

Now, the entire film fraternity has come out in support of the film. Celebs too to micro-blogging site and gave their respective take on the on-going Censor row. Here’s what they wrote:
