Branded food in Indian trains from next month

Passengers travelling in Indian trains will have to wait for the proposed branded food supplies for another month.Sources say the railway authorities and the suppliers are still busy deciding the prices.

Indian railways ,after it was bombarded with unhealthy food complaints,had decided to supply packaged food from October 30.Sources say the branded food will be available from next month but with a higher price tag.

The branded food will be available in Karnatka Express,Frontier Mail and Paschim Express trains initially on a trial basis.A team of Health and Railway officers will inspect the quality, hydiene and protein standards of the food before serving the the food to the passengers.
