Chautala makes an emotional appeal to Haryana
Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) supremo and former Haryana Chief Minister Om Parkash Chautala has appealed to the people of Haryana to come out in full numbers on October 15 to cast vote in favour of the INLD candidates.
Striking a personal chord with the electorate by writing a letter to the people of Haryana, Chautala said, “In my absence, the commitment towards the party and respect for the Choudhary Devi Lal is now in the hands of the Haryanvis.”
The hand written appeal issued by Chautala before he surrendered at Tihar jail in Delhi yesterday, the INLD supremo stated that someone visionary has said that history repeats itself. While referring to the birth anniversary of Jayaprakash Narayan that falls on October 11, Chautala said, “Jayaprakash waged a struggle and achieved success in bringing an end to the misrule of the Congress.
Following his path, we decided to work for bringing an end to the corrupt Congress regime because of which we are behind bars.”
He also said that the love and affection which he got during the brief spell outside Jail and in his election meetings and rallies has touched him.
“Now, time has come and people of Haryana should come forward by voting in favour of INLD to mark the end of the ten years of the black era that prevailed in the Haryana under the rule of the corrupt Congress”, he said in message to the people of the Haryana.
Chautala further said that he only seeks from the people of Haryana to make the INLD candidates victorious for a better future and prosperous Haryana. “Now you (Harayanvis) have to keep our respect and honour by uprooting the corrupt Congress and bringing INLD government in state on October 15.”
