Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today stated that the Congress would support GST Bill only if three issues raised by the party are resolved.
Gandhi, who is on a two-day visit to Mumbai said this while interacting with the management students of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). He said the GST was conceptualised and designed by Congress, which brought it to the table.
The Congress Vice President said that the party doesn’t want a GST where there is no cap on taxes, and it wants a limitation on maximum tax that can be charged to the people.
In the last leg of his two-day Mumbai tour, Rahul started his Padyatra from Bandra Bandstand to Dharavi on the issue of electricity tariff for the poor.
