Counterfeit currency seized in Sadhaura
The Haryana Police on Tuesday seized fake currency notes worth Rs 10 lac from Sadhaura in Yamunanagar.The police has arrested two people named Sandeep and Chanchal who hail from Khanarwali village in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh.
Disclosing this here today, SSP, Yamunanagar, Shashank Anand, said that acting on a tip-off, the two accused were nabbed by the Haryana Police from Sadhaura in Yamunanagar District with the help of the police detective team.
The two who had planned to circulate fake notes in the industrial areas of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, are now on police remand. They would be interrogated for more information on the fake currency notes business and involvement of more people.
Anand said that the district police detective team, including Naresh Kumar, ASI, in-charge, Ramesh Kumar, chief constable, Raj Kumar and other members would be honoured with appropriate reward for their success.
