Court may cancel Rampal’s bail
The Punjab and Haryana high court may cancel controversial godman Rampal‘s bail which was granted in 2008 in connection with a murder case .
The Court on Monday ordered fresh non bailable warrants against Sant Rampal in a contempt case and directed the Haryana Government and police to arrest and produce him before the court without fail by coming Friday.
Tension still prevails at Barwala of Hisar district, where thousands of Rampal followers are guarding him at his Satlok Ashram.
In view of the fresh High court orders, district administration and police made announcements on loud speakers urging Rampal followers to leave the Ashram peacefully and not interfere with court proceedings and police action. On the contrary the followers are still camping at the Ashram and are agitated by the police and district administration’s proceedings.
This is the third time that Sant Rampal has defied the High court orders and failed to appear in the court citing his bad health. Earlier, he was to appear in the High court on November 5 then on 10 and today. Sant Rampal is facing charges of conspiracy to murder, inciting mob and contempt of court.
