Eradicate drugs, Virbhadra asks state police

virbhadra_launching_campaign_against_drugs_sundayHimachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh on Sunday expressed concern over the growing drug menace in the state.

He said that over 900 cases have been registered under NDPS act and illegal construction of charas and opium has been destroyed over 5000 bighas of land.

“The Government is committed to eradicate the drug abuse from the State which is one of the most vexing and pervasive problem having devastating effect on the families and the individuals habitual of drugs ,” Virbhadra Singh said.

Remote areas in Kullu ,Shimla, Sirmour and Kangra are being used to cultivate illegal drugs. Malana in Kullu is known for its quality charas throughout the world.
