Fake currency worth Rs 24 seized in WB

The Border Security Force (BSF) deployed at Indo-Bangladesh border in South Bengal frontier, has seized around 24 lac fake Indian currency notes from Baishnabnagar in Malda district of West Bengal during this month.

According to BSF sources, the force has also seized contraband items and cattle heads valued at three crore rupees in the current month.

339 Bangladeshi illegal migrants have also been nabbed. The Border guarding agency also seized gold valued at nearly one crore, 50 lakh rupees from Bangaon in North 24 Paraganas district while these were being smuggled into Bangladesh.
