Forces gun down Two Maoists in Chhattisgarh
In Chhattisgarh, two Maoists, including a woman, were killed in a gun-battle with security forces in the tribal Bastar division last evening. The incident took place when a joint team of security forces raided a Maoist transit camp in the forests of Bechapal in Mirtoor area of Bijapur district.
The Maoists were gunned down following a prolonged exchange of fire between security personnel and ultras. Security forces also recovered an Insas rifle, a muzzle loading gun, a 12-bore gun and some explosives from the spot.
Meanwhile, a constable of Chhattisgarh Armed Force was killed by Maoists in Sukma district of the state yesterday.
The Constable Shivkumar Sidar was unwell for the last few days and was going for treatment to Dornpal from Temelwada in a bus where he was abducted by a group of Maoists and was killed.
