master-hukam-singhFormer Haryana chief minister, Master Hukam Singh breathed his last in Gurgaon on Thursday.

He remained the Chief Minister of the State in 1990-91. He has been elected MLA thrice from Charkhi Dadri before 1990.

The State Government has declared three day State mourning that is from February 26 to February 28.

The Government has also declared February 27, 2015 as public holiday in all State government offices and educational institutions as mark of respect. February 27 will also be observed as holiday under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act 1881.

Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal has expressed grief over the sad demise of former Chief Minister Master Hukum Singh who breathed his last after a brief illness at Gurgaon today.

In a condolence message issued here, the Chief Minister described Master Hukum Singh as a seasoned politician who always worked for the upliftment of the weak and downtrodden.
