Bank accounts of all the households were to be opened under the Jan Dhan Yojna and the beneficiaries would get pension directly in their accounts. In case the bank account is found bogus, the concerned bank would be held responsible, he added.
He said that the BJP Government in the State would fulfil all its promises made to the people in the election manifesto. As promised in the election manifesto, the State Government would definitely make public its plan to enhance the old age allowance prior to the next budget session.
“We are firm to enhance the old age pension and would spell out plan to enhance the pension in the next Budget Session”, he added.
He said that the present State Government is sensitive to the needs of the senior citizens as they have played a vital role in building a strong society.
