Haryana to spent Rs 21 lac on Udham Singh memorial
Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has announced to provide Rs 21 lakh for setting up of Shaheed Udham Singh Memorial and a sports stadium for girls at Shahbad. Apart from this, he also announced to give Rs 10 crore under Haryana Rural Development Fund for development of villages of Shahbad and Rs three crore for development of Shahbad town.
The Chief Minister said that his grandfather and Shaheed Udham Singh had played a great role in the freedom struggle of the country. He said that the martyrs had not sacrificed their lives for a particular caste or religion rather they had sacrificed for freedom of all castes and religions. The State Government of Congress Party has been implementing welfare schemes for all sections of society for the last 10 years with a view to realize the dreams of the martyrs.
Hooda was addressing a largely attended ‘Dhanyawad Rally’ organized by MLA Anil Dhantori at Shahbad in district Kurukshetra today. He said that after checking the norms, the 50-bed hospital of the area would first be upgraded to 75-bed and then to 100-bed hospital.
