Himachal Pradesh has attracted an investment of Rs 96721 crore during the first Global Investors’ Meet organised at Dharamshala between November 7-8, 2019 which resulted in signing of 703 Memorandums of Understandings (MoUs) .

45,000 Public grievances redressed till December 2019
Chief Minister said that his Government has launched ‘Jan Manch’ programme to redress the grievances of the people nearer to their homes. He said that about 45000 grievances have been redressed till December, 2019 under the programme.
He said that the Government had also started another ambitious Scheme ‘Mukhya Mantri Sewa Sanklap Helpline-1100′ for redressal of grievances of the people and more than 30,303 complaints were resolved till December, 2019. These programmes have been helpful in saving time and money of the people besides avoiding unnecessary harassment for getting their problems solved, he added.
Jai Ram Thakur said that several schemes of the present State Government such as Himachal Grihini Suvidha Yojna, HimCare Scheme and Mukhya Mantri Swavlamban Yojna have proved boon to the people and tangible results were coming out from these. He said that Himachal Pradesh has become first State in the country where every household has gas connection facility and making Himachal Pradesh smoke-free State.
Himachal Pradesh awarded Best State by NITI Ayog
Jai Ram Thakur said that the Himachal Pradesh had been awarded as ‘Best State’ in a report of NITI Aayog for achievements under Sustainable Development Goals. He said that State had been adjudged second in Overall Best Performing Big State of the country, besides first in Education and Health Sectors in Big Category States survey conducted by a prestigious magazine recently.
Chief Minister said that progress of development schemes of different departments were being reviewed and monitored online so that projects could be completed within stipulated period of time besides maintaining quality of works. He said that citizen centric services were being provided online to the seekers.
Rs.7900 crore State plan size proposed for FY 2020-21
The State plan size has been proposed for Rs. 7900 crore for financial year 2020-21, which is Rs. 800 crore more than 2019-20, with about 11 percent increase. This was revealed by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while presiding over the meetings of MLAs of Solan, Sirmaur and Shimla districts for finalization of their priorities for next financial year 2020-21, here today.
Jai Ram Thakur said that State Government had also succeeded in getting seven major external aided projects worth Rs. 6900 crore approved from Central Government under tourism development, horticulture development, augmentation of drinking water, environment preservation, forest management and State Road Projects, Phase-II during last two years.
He said that in addition to this, four more major external aided projects worth Rs. 7,029 crore under forest, rope ways, disaster management and power sectors were under consideration of the Central Government for approval.
Chief Minister said that 122 projects worth Rs. 445.49 crore have been cleared by the NABARD which are recommended under MLAs priorities during the year 2019-20.
