Himachal eyeing export business :Virbhadra
Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh on Monday said that the state government is working on a strategy to increase exports.
He was addressing people after inaugurating Interim facility of Regional Centre of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) for Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector in Shimla today.
The chief minister appreciated the initiative of the IIFT to start this centre in Himachal Pradesh and hoped that it would gave impetus to the efforts of the State to excel in export sector as well in addition to other sectors of our economy which would help in generating additional employment opportunity in the State.
Virbhadra Singh said that the State Government had provided the requisite support for setting up of MSME centre in Shimla to fulfill specific needs of enterprises to scale up their operations to international market arena .
He hoped that the exporters from the State would be immensely benefited from IIFT.
