Hooda faction demands action against dissidents
Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda faction has demanded action against the party leaders involved in the anti party activities. The issue was raised by Hooda and his supporters during the state party meeting chaired by the state in-charge Dr Shakeel Ahmed on Tuesday in Chandigarh.
Hooda faction also demanded action against the party leaders like Chaudhary Birender Singh and Kumari Selja who have been venting their anger against rival factions on public platforms.
Sources close the party said the party workers and leaders expressed concern about the growing factionalism in the party which has weakened the party organisaton.
In charge Haryana Congress Dr Shakeel Ahmed said that those involved in anti-party activities will not be spared and can face action .
“The A K Antony committee has summoned all Haryana candidates to Delhi. The committee will speak to the individual candidates.Action will be taken against the party leaders found guilty of anti party activities.
Some leaders also suggested to form ad-hoc state Congress committee. Dr Shakeel Ahmed said that the state Congress president Dr Ashok Tanwar can form the ad-hoc committee.
Party sources said the high command is not in a mood to take stern action against the dissidents.As the state goes to assembly polls in October this year, the party dont want to take any risk by earning the annoyance of the leaders like Chaudhary Birender Singh who may join BJP.
“We are adjusting with them and will continue to adjust,” Shakeel Ahmed said .
The party high command has once again refused to remove Bhpinder Singh Hooda which has come as a relief to the Hooda faction . Hooda’s detractors like Chaudhary Birender Singh and Kumari Selja have demanded his removal for party’s rout in the general elections.
