Illegal ammunition factory in Nahan ?
The seizure of huge quantities of arms and ammunition from a Nahan shop has sent the Himachal Pradesh security agencies in a tizzy.
Sources told North India Times that the accused Bhaijaan brothers were trying to make a bomb which resulted in a blast on August 15.
Taking cue from the Saturday blast, Sirmour police on Sunday seized huge caches of arms and ammunition in Nahan, the district headquarter of Sirmaur. This include 3000 live cartridges, four guns and 232 kilogram pallets which were stored by a former registered arms dealer in his house illegally after expiring his arms licence early this year. Besides it, gun powder, Sulphur, Potassium and other materials have also been recovered from the dealer.
Superintendent of Police Somya Samshivan said that three persons have been booked for stocking illicit weapons and ammunition. After Independence Day function near Chougan ground on Saturday a light blast occurred near the house of arms dealer, which gave a lead to the police to recover these arms and ammunition.
