Modi’s Diwali Kashmir visit leaves separatists fuming
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday reached Siachen to celebrate Diwali with the army jawans. Addressing the army jawans ,Modi told them that the nation is with them and understands their difficulties.
Modi spent first half of his visit in Siachin and will spend the second half in Srinagar . He is in the Kashmir valley to celebrate Diwali with the flood affected people.
“Friends, I am leaving for Siachen Glacier. It’s my good fortune that I will be able to spend time with our brave soldiers on this special day.I am going to Siachen with a message from each and every Indian to our soldiers- that we stand shoulder to shoulder with you,” Modi tweeted.
Praising the country’s sentinels, Modi said, “Be it the altitude or bitter cold, nothing deters our soldiers. They stand there, serving our Nation. They make us truly proud.”
Modi’s J&K valley visit on Diwali has left the separatists fuming.It is the first time in the history of Indian democracy that the prime minister visited Siachen and Srinagar on the auspiious day of Diwali.
“After the Siachen visit I will continue with my scheduled visit to Srinagar to spend time with those affected due to the recent floods,” Modi tweeted.
PM greets the Nation on auspicious Occasion of Diwali
Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has greeted the Nation on auspicious Occasion of Diwali.
