Two people were burnt alive in Nalagarh, Solan when the oil tanker in which they were travelling in caught fire.

Nalagarh Police officials told North India Times that the oil tanker might have accidently hit an electricity pole and caught fire.

Meanwhile the police said the victims failed to come out of the burning vehicle .

The exact cause of the accident is not known.The police officials were also trying to identify the victims.

The police officials were trying to figure out whehter the over speeding  tanker hit the pole or it was a brake failure.

The incident according to police took place at 12.30 on Tuesday night when one of the tanker tyres suddenly burst.

The oil tanker bears Rewari,Haryana registration number. The driver belonged to Punjab and other victim hails from Uttar Pradesh.

Nalagarh is a sub division of Solan district  in Himachal Pradesh and is a developing industrial town.
