Imran Khan assures Sikh pilgrims
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has informed that the Sikh pilgrims visiting Kartarpur Sahib on 550 birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji will not be asked for a passport to enter Pakistan.
Any identity card issued by the Indian government will be valid to issue the permits .
Another pre-requisite a 10 day advance application has also been withdrawn.
For Sikhs coming for pilgrimage to Kartarpur from India, I have waived off 2 requirements: i) they wont need a passport – just a valid ID; ii) they no longer have to register 10 days in advance. Also, no fee will be charged on day of inauguration & on Guruji's 550th birthday

Welcoming Imran Khan’s gesture Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has appealed Pakistan government to waive off $ 20 fees besides extending the Visa free travel facility to non Sikh communities also.
Happy & grateful for waiver of passport & advance registration conditions for Sikh pilgrims by @ImranKhanPTI govt, but would urge Pakistan to apply this not just to Sikhs but all citizens of secular India. Also urge Pak PM to waive off $20 fee on all days instead of just two.
