PGI employees to stage Dharna at Jantar Mantar
Employee leaders seek medical facilities for PGI Staff
Union condemned the negative and callous attitude of PGI Administration, who did not come forward for peaceful resolution of disputes.
The last minute efforts to arrive at settlement on demands and grievances of non-faculty staff has failed.
The PGI Employees Union will goahead with action program given on Nov 21 to stage dharna at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi and take out Candle March Protest at office of J.P.Nadda, Union Health Minister and President of Institute at Nirman Bhawan New Delhi.
Union will take 2 buses with about 100 members of different categories including Medical Technologists of Laboratory, X-Rays, Radiotherapy, Ministerial, Engineering, Personal Staff, Hospital Attendants, Sanitation Attendants and members of Contract Workers Union to lodge its symbolic protest in support of its longstanding just and genuine demands.
The demands include implementation of Grade Pay Rs. 4600 to Medical technologists as recommended by Dr. Ashok Gupta Committee, implementation of Dr. Rajwanshi Committee Report on medical facilities for PGI Staff, stoppage of generic medicines, separate ward for PGI Staff and dependants, making compassionate appointments, 3rd Cadre Review, restoration of more than 400 post abolished by Coordination Committee, filling up of all vacant promotional and direct recruitment posts, Dress Allowance of Rs. 10,000 per year, removal of pay anomaly of Hospital Attendants, Sanitation Attendants, counting of past service EWC Staff for ACP / MACP, promotion of existing technicians all cadres.
