PM Narendra Modi heading to Iran
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leaving for Iran today on a two-day visit.
Issues related to peace and security, connectivity, infrastructure, energy partnership with Tehran and boosting bilateral trade will be high on agenda of the visit.
The visit will feature discussion on terrorism in the region as well as extended neighbourhood. It will also focus on New Delhi’s desire to secure energy assets for a fast growing economy. After reaching Tehran Modi will visit Gurudwara there.
He will be having a packed and hectic schedule tomorrow. The Prime Minister will call on Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei tomorrow.
Modi will also hold talks with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on the same day and discuss bilateral relations in depth and exchange views on regional situation and global issues of mutual interest.
