Rajnath Singh reviewes Delhi Projects
Home Minister Rajnath Singh reviewed various development projects in the national capital yesterday at a high-level meeting.
He reviewed a 500-crore rupees project being prepared by the Delhi Administration for beautification of the city under the Swachha Bharat mission. The Home Minister directed to expedite all works relating to the project and promised timely-release of funds.
He also reviewed the works on providing drinking water, sanitation, cleaning of Yamuna, and other ongoing projects of departments like PWD, Health, and Urban development.
Singh directed Delhi Police to register FIR on each and every complaint and take all steps to ensure safety of women and people from the Northeast living in the national capital.
Sources said, in the wake of recent clashes in Trilokpuri, the Home Minister directed Delhi Police to take stern action against rumour mongers and set up Aman committee in sensitive areas. He also reviewed the progress of installation of CCTV cameras in different places and directed that incomplete works should be speeded up.
The meeting was attended by Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, Police Commissioner BS Bassi and Chief Secretary DM Spolia.
