In Haryana, the situation remains tense in Barwala of Hisar District. As per the directions of Punjab and Haryana High Court Sant Rampal either himself or Haryana government has to ascertain his appearance in the court by on.
Quoting the sources, AIR correspondent reports that police personnels, navy commandoes, Rapid Action Force and CRPF battalions on one side and thousands of Sant Rampal followers on other side are holding their positions outside the Santlok Ashram.
District administration and state police is trying to resolve the matter peacefully and would use force as the last resort considering the fact that most of the followers guarding the main gate are children and women.
Meanwhile, Satlok Ashram spokesperson speaking to section of media persons assured that Sant Rampal followers would not create any hinderance in police action but would not buzz from their position.
He said Sant Rampal might appear in the court on Monday if his health permits and decision in this regard will be taken by their panel of doctors on Monday morning. He requested for arranging a video conferencing of Sant Rampal with the court.
In order to avoid any untoward incident security arrangements have been beefed up at Panchkula, Mohali and Chandigarh also.All entry points to Chandigarh have been barricated and Administration have deputed 16 Duty Magistrates in the city.
Chandigarh railway station and bus stand have been put on high alert. All security arrangements have been made to stop Rampal’s followers march towards Chandigarh in view of the Court hearing on Monday as it may create a law and order problem.
