Gurgaon: At least three people were killed and 15 others injured, some of them critically, when an overspeeding bus overturned on the Delhi-Jaipur highway in Dharuhera town, 45 km from here, police said.
The ill-fated bus on its way from Narnaul to Gurgaon overturned on National Highway 8, near a State Bank of India branch in Dharuhera, police said.
The overspeeding bus hit the a divider overturned, the police added.
“In the incident, Ganesh from Rewari, Rajpal from Narnaul in Haryana and Umashankar from Bhiwadi (Rajasthan) died on the spot,” said police officer Sabha Chand.
All the deceased were in the age group of 30-35.
Over 15 passengers from different parts of Haryana and Rajasthan were injured and were admitted in two hospitals at Dharuhera.
“Most of the passengers were workers employed at the factories in Gurgaon, Dharuhera and Bhiwadi. After the postmortem examination the bodies of deceased were handed over to their family members,” Sabhachand added.
