Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is the daughter of senior actor Sarathkumar .

Born on March 5,1985 ,she has acted in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films.

Tamil film Podaa Podi (2012) was her debut film.

Notably ,she won Vijay Award for Best Debut Actress for this film followed by Edison Award .

Though  Podaa Podi took four years to complete however, it did well at the box office.

Best Female villain : Negative roles win reputed Awards

Remarkably, not just  in Cinema , Varalaxmi is also popular on television.

She was latest seen in a Tamil serial Kodeeswari (2020).

She became a popular television villain in Sarkar & Sandakozhi and Sathya .

Interestingly, Sathya won her Techofes Award as Best Female Villan .   Sarkar & Sandakozhi- 2 won four awards .

These include Behindwoods Gold Medal and Ananda Vikatan Cinema Awards for Best Villain — Female.

The list includes 8th South Indian International Movie Award and Techofes Award for Best Negative Role.

Talent is in her blood.The awards won by her bear a testimony to it.

The roles include leads,lady villain and judge of reality shows.

While she won Behindwoods Gold Medals for Tharai Thappattai, Vikram Vedha had bagged four awards.

The awards include Best Character Role – Female (Edison Award) , Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress – Tamil.

Varalaxmi was nominated for Techofes Award for Best Supporting Actress .

She got Best Supporting Actress in 7th South Indian International Movie Awards .

Multi Talented Actress 

Above all , this multi talented actress has also many other awards to her credit.

She bagged Critics Choice Best Actress in Sixth South Indian Movie Awards for her Tharai Thappattai in 2016.

The Kasaba actress was also adjusted as Best Debut Actress in 6th South Indian International Movie Awards .

Her first Kannada successful film is Maanikya (2014).

Interestingly, Varalaxmi had shed 10 kg weight for Tharai Thappattai (2016) role .

Interestingly,she is also a good singer . She has sung in three Telugu films including Krack.
